Who is the baron?

The owner of the palace is the Belgian engineer and millionaire Edward Empain. who officially obtained the title of Baron from the King of France. due to his efforts in building the subway and other giant projects in France. He loved to travel, having projects in Brazil, Mexico, and various countries in Europe. But his visit to India was the main factor in his fall in love with Egypt and Cairo. and his decision to build the most luxurious palaces of the world at all. 

“Edward Empan” lived for many years in India and adored ancient myths. Until his decision to search for an ancient historical place and found only Egypt before him. Baron “Imban” arrived in Cairo, and it was not until days before the man loved Egypt to the point of madness. And made a fateful decision to remain in Egypt until his death. He wrote in his will that he be buried in the soil of Egypt even if he died outside it. In order for him to live in Egypt, he decided to build a permanent house. But because his mentality was economic and he was fond of creativity and arts and was ahead of his time in stages. The conception of his permanent home was not an ordinary thing but was different by all standards.

Palace design

The palace is a mix between the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia and the Hindu Orissa temples. With creative European decoration at the same time. It is designed over two floors and contains 7 rooms.
